Due to variations in the models of equipment and the aging conditions of laser tubes, exposure conditions need to be determined through experimentation for various imported and domestic models of laser image output devices or laser typesetters.

The RL-100E red laser photosensitive film features high photosensitivity, clean and sharp dots, excellent dot reproduction, high density, strong film hardness, wide adaptability to development, and fast fixing and drying speeds. It is suitable for use with various models of laser image output devices or laser typesetters with a laser wavelength ranging from 632.8nm to 670nm.

Exposure

Due to variations in the models of equipment and the aging conditions of laser tubes, exposure conditions need to be determined through experimentation.

Main features

- Sharp and clean hard dots result in excellent image quality.
- High contrast and resolution: minimal gray fog, achieving a maximum density of 4.5 or higher.
- Adaptable to high-temperature rapid processing techniques with wide tolerances for exposure and development.
- Convenient and quick darkroom loading for efficient operations.

Advantages

  • Wide tolerance for exposure and development.
  • Outstanding image quality.
  • High-quality frequency-modulated dots.
  • Anti-static properties before and after processing.
  • High practical density.
  • Excellent universal dot linear output.

Safe Light

T20/N.D.0.75 or equivalent safe light, such as "Huaguang" safe light filters, etc.

  • Ensure that the film is at least 1.2 meters (4 feet) away from the safe light.
  • Film exposure under the safe light should not exceed 2 minutes.

Processing and Development

It is recommended to use the Huaguang brand HG-681/881 printing film processing kit, and alternative kits of the same type can also be used.

It is recommended to follow the conditions listed in the table below for development:

Development Conditions:

  • Development Temperature: 30-32°C
  • Development Time: 50-60 seconds

*Note: The provided information suggests a range for both temperature and development time. Adjustments within these ranges can be made based on specific requirements or conditions.

Development Solution Type: HG-681

  • 250 ml/m² (0.16 ml/sq.in)
  • 300 ml/m² (0.19 ml/sq.in)
  • 350 ml/m² (0.23 ml/sq.in)

Exposure Area Percentage:

  • 20%
  • 50%
  • 80%

Development Conditions:

  • Development Temperature: 30-32°C and 34-35°C
  • Development Time: 60-50 seconds and 35-30 seconds

Exposure Area Percentage Remarks:

  • At least once (minimum)
  • At least once (minimum)
  • 35%

Storage

  • Store in a cool and dry place. The storage temperature should not exceed 23°C, and the relative humidity should be no more than 55%. Storage in a humid and warm environment will shorten the life of the film.
  • Avoid exposure to radioactive or other harmful substances, and prevent direct sunlight.

Unsealing Instructions:

  • For films loaded in a bright room, they can be loaded into the dedicated dark box of the laser image output machine under bright room conditions.
  • For films loaded in a darkroom, they should be loaded into the dedicated dark box of the laser image output machine under special dark green light or complete darkness.
  • Handle with care during use to prevent damage to the film caused by friction, folding, oil stains, and fingerprints.
